Miguel Yisrael (born 31 March 1973) is a Portuguese–French musician, lutenist and recording artist specializing in music for lute, resident in Paris, France. Former student of lutenist Hopkinson Smith, Miguel Yisrael is known on the international scene as a "sensitive, innovative and stylistic rigorous" interpreter of early music. Miguel Yisrael studied the lute under Hopkinson Smith at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, and gives concerts and master classes throughout Europe, China, Canada and US. Miguel Yisrael performs on lutes built by Cezar Mateus, Princeton, USA.
